At Shreekala we have been nurturing the art of Indian dancing for over a decade. We offer lessons in Bharatnatyam Dance and Indian folk dances. We have worked extensively to introduce and indulge in the art of Indian dancing. Please look in to our programs to know more and register to our lessons. India's classical dances are a window into the rich traditions of it's ancient Indian culture. Exuberant and colorful, they are pleasing to the soul. We hope our students enjoy and embrace this art and discover deeper meaning in them.
The name “Shreekala” itself carries deep meaning, with “Shree” symbolizing divine grace and “Kala” representing art, together embodying a philosophy that shapes her teaching: dance as a sacred, elegant art form that enriches both the performer and the audience.
Guru Smt. Krutika Hiremath Pillay is a multifaceted artist renowned for her excellence in traditional Indian Classical Dance. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has received widespread acclaim for her deep commitment to the advancement of fine arts and her artistic brilliance. A dedicated teacher and performer, she remains a lifelong student, constantly pushing artistic boundaries
Krutika’s dance journey began under the tutelage of Guru Vidushi Smt. Shirshikar, a disciple of Guru Prerna Desai from Kalakshetra, and she further refined her craft through intensive training with Guru Vidushi Sundari Sheshadri. She also had the privilege of learning Kuchipudi margam under the guidance of Pandit Krishna Swami and Dr. Korada Narshinha Rao.
Certified and honored with the prestigious Tambra Patra from Bhartiya Nritya Sansthan, Krutika’s dedication to dance is complemented by her Master’s Degree in Business Management.
As a performer and choreographer, Krutika has showcased her talent in India and the United States, judging and guest-performing at esteemed dance festivals. She is committed to providing holistic dance education, blending tradition with creativity

Krutika actively teaches and choreographs, enriching Indian associations across Maryland, Florida, Colorado, and Virginia. Krutika is a dedicated humanitarian, using her performances support non-profit organizations. She actively volunteers at temples and cultural institutions, promoting the traditional arts of India.
With a deep passion for Bharatanatyam and Indian dance, she strives to teach, perform, and inspire future generations to appreciate the richness of Indian culture.
Guru Vudushi Smt.Sundari Shehshadri was a Baharatnatyam dancer trained in a Pandanallur Chokkalingam Pillai style. Sundari Ji was a great artist and even wonderful teacher. Several Bharatanatyam students trained under the tutelage of Smt Shehshadri are successful dancers and great teachers. She has left behind a strong legacy for her disciples to imbibe.
